Forget About Efficiency

Perhaps today is a good day to throw efficiency and optimization out the door.

There is no doubt that being very optimized will help get things done quickly and easily. However sometimes that isn’t the point.

What about the times we want to create something fun? Or memorable? Or reliable? Too much optimization can ruin those traits.

Having fun is directly opposed to being efficient.

Creating memories has nothing to do with a rigid process.

Building reliable is about extra parts that hopefully aren’t needed.

While efficiency and optimization definitely have their place, sometimes the focus is better shifted toward more valuable aspects of the process.
